A SoulMap™ London journey by Penna a Spillo
🗺️📍Follow my SoulMap™ and discover London like a local
🛍️ Category: Shops & Markets
🛍️ A personal guide to charming spots discovered while wandering through the city.
If you’re looking for a “true local” shopping experience in London, you’ve come to the right place. London is a sanctuary for those who love uncovering authentic gems tucked away from the usual tourist trails.
In this mini-guide, I’m taking you along to some of my favourite spots: independent boutiques, quirky markets, and atmospheric shops that I’ve personally discovered over the years.
📌 How to use this guide
For a deeper dive, you can explore the individual posts I’ve written about some of these shops (I’ve included the links below).
However, I wanted to create this “quick-reference” list with all the addresses in one place.
I know from experience that sometimes you need to make a quick decision on the go and just need a great idea, fast.
I’ve organised these spots into the categories I find myself reaching for most often. I’ve also included some photos I took personally to give you a feel for the atmosphere.

A Few Notes Before We Start:
- The shops I’ve listed reflect my own personal taste; they aren’t necessarily the “best” in any absolute sense, but simply the ones that caught my eye for one reason or another.
- As an editorial choice, I do not accept advertising. I have no formal relationship or partnership with any of these businesses; they are quite simply the places in London that I love.
- You may find that some of these brands have multiple stores across the city. The addresses I’ve provided are the specific locations I visit, but feel free to check for other branches if they happen to be more convenient for your route.
So, here it is: my personal “address book” for a unique London shopping experience.
🛒 Museum Shops
I absolutely love visiting Museum shops.
Usually, they carry items inspired by the current exhibitions I’m attending, or unique pieces that you simply can’t find anywhere else. I often drop by just to find inspiration for my content, not necessarily to buy something.
